Our desire for Union Lake Student Ministry is to, by the teaching of the gospel, inspire and equip students to, “do justly, love mercy and walk humbly with our God” (Micah 6:8)
We accomplish this through Gospel-centered teaching. The gospel effects every facet of life whether it is relationships, suffering, our walk with God or whatever students will face during their lives. We also focus on real, meaningful conversations with each other, Heart-filled worship, and fun activities that are great opportunities to invite friends to join in.
At ULSM, we welcome everyone in grades 6-12 to come on Sunday mornings, Sunday nights and to event nights. We have fun, exciting activities going on, and we’d love for you to be a part of them.
Sunday Nights (*Wednesday Night during the summer) at Union lake we have our student ministry nights. Doors open at 5:30pm. If it’s your first time we will take down your contact info to keep you plugged in on upcoming events, including activities. If you came on your own, we’ll connect you with a few other students around your age and possibly from your school. Before our night kicks off, we’ve set up our youth room you to relax and hang out with friends. We know you’ve been at school all week and have another week ahead of you. Play some air hockey, pool, or foosball shoot hoops, Or just grab a soda from the fridge, grab a couch, and hang out with your friends.
Sunday night gatherings starts at 6:00pm. Every we spend time learning God’s Word. We want to bring the transforming power of the Gospel of Jesus Christ to each student’s life. Our mission is for each student to Know Jesus and Make Him Known. In short, we want to make disciples. The service ends around 7:30, but you are welcome to hang out until it is time for you to go home.
We also have Sunday school on Sunday mornings (beginning at 9:15am) during which we systematically study the Scriptures. While the student have a class dedicated to them, we aim to unify the church by using the school year to study the same passages that their parents and other adults are studying in their class.
Hope to see you soon!
